Privacy Policy

The short version
Bizlings is designed for kids ages 6–13. It's a bookkeeping app that stores everything on the device. We do not collect personal information from children or anyone else. We do not use analytics, advertising, tracking, or third-party SDKs that would move data off the device. Bizlings never connects to bank accounts and never moves real money.

Children's privacy (COPPA)
Bizlings is intended for children up to 13. The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) requires that operators of services directed to children disclose their information practices and obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting personal information from a child.
Bizlings does not collect, use, or disclose personal information from children. Because no personal information ever leaves the device, no parental consent step is required for the app to work. The app has no user accounts, no sign-up screen, no login, no email collection, no phone number collection, no location collection, no contacts access, no camera or microphone access, and no advertising identifiers.
What the app stores (and where)
When a kid uses Bizlings, the app records the business information they enter — seed money, expenses, sale days, purse balances, badges, and the like — on the device only. This data is written to local device storage managed by iOS or Android. It is not transmitted to us or to any third party.
- No cloud sync.
- No account server.
- No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs that collect personal data.
- No advertising, ever.
- No third-party tracking.
- No in-app purchases.
- No social features, chat, or user-generated content.
- No push notifications.
If a future version of Bizlings adds an optional feature that would transmit information off the device (for example, an opt-in family sync), we will update this policy and require clear parental consent before that feature can be turned on.
Financial accounts
Bizlings tracks money — it does not move money. Bizlings does not connect to Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, a bank, a debit card, or any custodial account. The "purses" inside the app (Cash, Venmo, Cash App) are simply labels that help a kid remember where their money is; the real money always lives outside the app, under a parent or guardian's control.
Parental rights
Under COPPA, parents and guardians have the following rights with respect to their child's information:
- Review your child's app data by opening the app on the device. Because Bizlings stores everything locally, the device itself is the record.
- Request deletion of your child's data by deleting individual entries inside the app, resetting the app from its settings, or uninstalling the app from the device.
- Refuse further collection or use of your child's information by not using the app, or by deleting the app and its data.
Because Bizlings does not send any data off the device, there is nothing for us to look up, export, or delete from a server. If you need help exercising these rights, email support@bizlings.com.
This website
This marketing website (the one you're reading now) is separate from the Bizlings app. The website does not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics that identify individuals.
If a visitor uses our Support form, the name, email, and message they submit are sent to us by email so we can reply to their question. Support messages are also stored in a secure database as a backup so no inquiry is lost. Support data is used only to respond to the request and is not used for marketing.
The Support form is intended for parents, guardians, and adults. Kids should ask a parent to contact us on their behalf.
Data retention
App data: Because the Bizlings app stores everything on the device, we do not retain any child data on our servers. The data remains on the device until you delete individual entries, reset the app, or uninstall it from the device.
Support messages: Messages submitted through the Support form are kept for up to 12 months after the issue is resolved, then deleted. You can request earlier deletion by emailing support@bizlings.com.
Data we do not sell or share
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. We do not participate in behavioral or interest-based advertising.
Security
Because Bizlings stores data on the device, its security is largely tied to the device's own protections (passcode, biometric lock, OS updates). We recommend keeping the device's operating system up to date and using a device passcode.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change this policy, we will update the "Effective" date above and, for material changes affecting how data is handled, we will post a clear notice in the app before the change takes effect.
